Laughlin River Run Laughlin, Nevada Apr 21st, 2010 Apr 25th, 2010

When: April 21, 2010

Where: Laughlin Nevada

Apr 21st, 2010 through Apr 25th, 2010
Started in 1983, the Laughlin River Run has grown into one of the largest motorcycle events in the southwest. Set in southern Nevada, the Laughlin River Run offers typically great weather, great riding, and the great entertainment that is usual in a gambling resort in Nevada. Expect big names for bands featured each year throughout Laughlin. Laughlin River Run gets its name from the "river run" to Oatman, Arizona, a ghost town featuring re-enacted gun fights, and located on historic route 66.

Leesburg Bikefest

When: April 23, 2010

Where: Leesburg Florida

Apr 23rd, 2010 through Apr 25th, 2010

Leesburg Bikefest was first held in 1997, the vision of Joe Shipes, vice president of the Leesburg Partnership. Seeking to show off the newly renovated downdown Leesburg, and to attract a different crowd than a lot of local activities, Leesburg Bikefest opened its downtown streets... to motorcycles only, no cars allowed during the event. Approximately 5000 bikes were attracted to this first year of Leesburg Bikefest.

Leesburg Bikefest has grown rapidly from that start, with 2005 attendence estimated at 125,000, an impressive showing, even compared to the other two large Florida motorcycle rallies, Daytona Bike Week and Biketoberfest®. Who knows, Leesburg Bikefest may even topple Daytona Bike Week out of the top four motorcycle rallies. Why? More laid back policing, vice the nit-picking that has come to be Daytona. Merchants maintaining pre-rally pricing, instead of raising prices just for the bikers. Motel rooms and camping at a reasonable rate, again not artificially inflated. Just a biker friendly atmosphere. Daytona Beach needs to take a lesson from Leesburg in how to run a rally. And Leesburg, you just keep on doing what you are doing... they will come!

Thunder Beach Spring Motorcycle Rally

When: April 29, 2010

Where: Panama City Beach Florida

Apr 29th, 2010 through May 2nd, 2010

Thunder Beach motorcycle rallies are known to many as "The Most Biker Friendly FREE Rally in the United States". Why are these Rallies considered to be some of the friendliest in the country? First, Panama City has been a Spring Break destination for years. Secondly, it's located in the South just under Alabama, so it has all of the Southern charm of a small city. The goal of the promoters of the Thunder Beach Rallies is to give the bikers a good old fashion bike rally without all of the hassles. Thunder Beach Productions understands that if the bikers are happy that they will spend their money.

Thunder Beach Spring Motorcycle Rally is divided into five separate venues, all with free parking, their own vendor areas and live entertainment. Showing their commitment to the enjoyment of the Bikers, beer is sold at reasonable prices...how many Sporting events have you gone to and had to face $6.50 longnecks? At Thunder Beach Spring Motorcycle Rally this does not happen, which adds to the festivities and leads to better bar crawls.

Myrtle Beach Bike Week

When: May 07, 2010

Where: Murrells Inlet, South Carolina

May 7th, 2010 through May 16th, 2010

Myrtle Beach Bike Week has been held since 1940, and draws an ever increasing number of bikers, as well as non-bikers just out to watch the fun. The weather in Myrtle Beach does help, as typically very mild for a early to mid-May event. One of the 'Big Four', the Myrtle Beach Bike Week draws an estimated crowd of 300,000.

Myrtle Beach seems to draw motorcycles of all kinds throughout the year, with at least three events large enough to meet the standards of this site. And why not? Myrtle Beach has much to offer, even outside the realm of the motorcycle. Miles of pristine beaches, numerous tourist attractions right in the heart of the city, including four attractions from Ripley, and friendly southern folks welcoming the crowd.

With its winding mountainous roads, Ruidoso, New Mexico is the perfect place to hold a spring Motorcycle Rally. Ride the same trails (now roads) that Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett once rode. The breath-taking riding aside, one thing that draws bikers to AspenCash Motorcycle Rally, as the name implies, is the chance to win a cool $5000, first prize in the total $10,000 poker run. There are runs every day (Thursday through Saturday) and pre-registration is available. AspenCash Motorcycle Rally is promoted by the Golden Aspen Motorcycle Association, who since 1986 have been bringing us the Golden Aspen Motorcycle Rally in the fall.

But there is more to AspenCash Motorcycle Rally than just a poker run. This motorcycle rally is centered around a huge trade show, with 33,000 square feet of vendor area. Just about anything a biker could want will be available during this trade show. Hill climbing is another featured event. Finally, there is the riding! Whether it is the mountain switchbacks that lead you close to the peak of the 12,000 foot Sierra Blanca, or the roads leading to ghost towns from a historic past, there is a destination for every type of biker.

Americade Lake George, New York Jun 7th, 2010 Jun 12th, 2010

When: June 07, 2010

Where: Lake George, New York

Jun 7th, 2010 through Jun 12th, 2010

Americade is advertised as the largest touring motorcycle rally in the world. Based on Lake George, and the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, there is good reason to attract approximately 50,000 registered motorcycle riders, intent on riding the winding roads and viewing the scenery of upstate New York. While Americade is a much quieter event than most motorcycle rallies, the motorcyclists will still find much to do and see while attending.

Started in May, 1983 by a motorcyclist named Bill Dutcher, Americade was initially called Aspencade East, after another touring motorcycle rally in New Mexico. The initial event drew an estimated 2000 attendence, and it has grown from there. Three years later, the name was changed to the current Americade, to better describe what had quickly become the largest touring motorcycle rally.

The organizers, as well as the local populace and police, want to keep Americade as quiet as possible. The police have even been known to set up random road blocks specifically to verify the motorcycles attending have legal exhaust systems. This attitude prompted at least one unsuccessful attempt at boycotting Americade. Don't let this affect your decision to go, as those who attend will have a great time, but if you decide to go, take the advice of Americade organizers, and leave those loud pipes at home.
